Wednesday, Jan. 27, 1960 Bible Study Theme Told The January Bible study for, 1960 at the First Baptist Church is "Studies in Timothy," a study of I tli? two letters of (he apostle Paul to his young son in the ministry, Timothy. January has been observed dur ing the past several years as a special lime of extra Bible study. The special classes are scheduled each night, January 25-28, from 7-9 o'clock. Nursery provisions have been made for those who need to bring children with them Dr. t. M. Causey, pastor, is teaching the course each night in the social room of the church. "Studies in Timothy," a commen tary prepared especially for this study, is available as a study help. GRANGE NEWS MIDLAND GRANGE Elmer McClure, Oregon State Grange master, urged local grange masters to include all officers in master planning during a Pomona Grange conference Friday evening at .Midland Grange Hall. All grangers should be included in activities and committees. That way. membership will increase, he said. He informed the audience that granges in Oregon, wasnington and Idaho generally increased membership last year. Pomona Secretary Ruth John son announced the Klamath Coun ly Pomona Grange will meet Feb ruary 13 at 10 a.m. at Malin Grange Hall. The conclave will continue through the day. Midland Yough Chairman Ruth Andrieu said a bowling party for grange youth was held Saturday. January 23. She also announced a youth meeting will be conducted January 27 at 8 p.m. in the home of Ralph Sukrow. Klamath County granges repre sented were Shasta View, Midland, Lost River, Merrill, Poe Valley, Upper Klamath Lake and Malin Shasta View Grange was repre sented by all its 13 officers. A total of 80 officers and other members attended. The meeting opened with drill and presentation of the flag by Pomona officers. The officers also conducted closing drill, song, and prayer and they retired the flag Midland Home I-.conomics Club Chairman Alice Hoover and her committee served a no-host pot- luck lunch. Red Cross Agent Checks Disaster NORTHFORK, W.Va. (AP) - A Rod Cross disaster representative will fly into this coal mining area of southern West Virginia today to see what can be done for 83 per sons left homeless by a single fire. The fire destroyed seven two story frame houses, each divided into two units, at nearby Upland Sunday. Seventy-five men, women and children were at home but only one child was hurt. All the residents arc Negroes. Norlhfork Fire Chief Mike Brown, who fought the fire with only 13 volunteers, said he be heved it started in an overheated stove.
