Before voting to recess, the group named Ross Rajland, assis tant manager of the Klamath Ice and Storage Company, as its dis cussion leader, the course will be gin for that group at 7 a.m. Janu- ary 5 in the. Winema llolel. The course in the mechanics of politics involves three other study groups and includes 55 enrollces. A second group will meet at noon Wednesday in the Willard Hotel. The other groups will meet at 7 p.m., Wednesday and Thursday, in chamber offices opposite the courthouse. Burns Publisher Dies At Age 85 PORTLAND (API-Julian Byrd. 85, editor and publisher of the Burns, Ore., Times-Herald for W) years until retirement four years aso, died in a nursing home here Monday. Survivors include a son, William Byrd of Portland: three daugh ters. Mrs. Evelyn Bordsen of Seattle, Mrs. Burt Stockton of Burns, and Mr. Lester Higby of Portland; and a grandson, Dick Clark of Burns. The funeral will be in Burns. Arrangements were pending.
