Rob ert E. Smylie of Idaho told the Northwest College Personnel Assih meeting Thursday. Smylie said what he saw of the Russian education system during a visit last summer "did not measure up to the glowing reports made about it." "The major difference between Russian schools and ours was the intensity of effort. It seemed to me the kids were required to work harder and actually did work harder than in our schools.
