BASIN Visitor in Malin recently was Lee Petraselt, Berkeley, who visit ed his sister, Mrs. Irene Jelinek. and brothers, Ivan, Enoch, Paul and Edwin Petrasek and their families. In Malin as guests of the Jim Ottoman family were Mrs. Otto man's sister, Mrs. Russell Avery, her husband and two daughters Red Bluff. Visiting at the Phil Blohm home in Malin were Blohm's cou sin, Paul Manlove, his wife and son of Portland. Other recent guests were Mrs. Blohm's aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Banks and their son Warren of Seattle. Named Mr. and Mrs. Elmore Nicholson, Fort Klamath, have , chosen the name of Mary Lou for their infant daughter, born Sat urday, August 1, at Klamath Val ley Hospital in Klamath Falls. Visiting in Fort Klamath for several days was Mrs. Millie Walker of Gold Hill who left Thursday for home. She was the guest of Mr. and Mrs. William Brewer and family and Mrs Brewer's mother, Mrs. Lulu Dar ling, during her stay. To Springfield Mrs. Nellie Smith and daughter, Mrs. Harold Worman of DeSoto, Wisconsin, re Man Returns To Old Job CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) - Nathan Miller who said two months ago he might have to offer his new - born triplets for adoption because of financial dif ficultiesis leaving a $50-a-week job he got as a result of his plight and returning to his $25-a week job as a hired hand. Paul Jones, operator of an egg farm near here, gave Miller a job, and a house with the stipula tion that the Millers keep their triplet girls. But Miller, 55, said Mondav, "My family just ain't satisfied, that's all. And there's a heap of walking in this egg job. And I've got bad legs. In my other job I rode "a tractor mostly." Miller, his wife, the triplets and their three older children were to return to Clarendon Plantation, near Southport, N.C. Owner Cor nelius Thomas is giving Miller his old job. Housewife Foils Would-Be Thief PITTSBURGH (AP) - A Pitts burgh hotsewife put a robber twice her size to flight Monday. Police said a man got into the apartment belonging to Clara Ber in by telling her he wanted to leave a note for a family across the hall who was away from home. Once inside Mrs. Bervin's apartment the robber grabbed her, slammed his hand over her mouth and demanded $5. The lady sank her choppers in his hand and off he ran. Great-grandmothers are Mrs. Ella Condonier, Stockton, California, and Mrs. Cordie Terpening of Pritchett, Colorado. Houseguests at the, home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Bech- doldt of Bonanza, are Mr. and Mis. Phil Hunt and four children of Portland. The children stayed in Bonanza while their parents at tended the Shakespearean festi val at Ashland. Moved Mr. and Mrs. Charlio Roberts and children have mnvprl from Bonanza to Henley to live. Home Burned The home of Mr and Mrs. Joe McNeal on Salmon River was destroyed by fire Au gust 14. It was reported the fam ily lost all of their household nns sessions. The state forestry fire truck was called to prevent the fire from spreading into the sur rounding trees. Visiting in Malin at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Elmore, is Jan Elmore from Yaki ma. Accompanying Miss Elmore is Mrs. Gerald Reed of Portland. Friends in the Malin area will be interested to know that the Jer ry Lyons family, former Malin residents, did not suffer any in juries or damage to their home in the recent Roseburg blast. Houseguests of Dr. and Mrs. Craig Pearson in Malin were Dr. and Mrs. Lloyd Zachary and chil dren of Sacramento, and Mrs. Pearsson's sister, Mrs. Bill Bark and her husband of Portland Attend Camp Returning home last Saturday from a week at Camp Fire Camp at Lake of the Woods were the following girls from the Chiloquin-Fort Klamath Council: Sandra Plouffe, Carol Rogers, Donna Robinson, Judy Stanley, Barbara Nicholson, Cher ry Wolff, Mary Brattain and Lin da Stanley.
