This arrangement fills a twofold need, more sealing space when needed and doing away with steep un covered stairs at the (rout of the building. Folding doors will be in stalled in the new opening. Volunteer workers including sev eral local carpenters did the re modeling. They also have recent ly torn down the old fence, in stalled a new sign, and are plan ning to bring in logs to mark new parking, zones. The city helped on the parking areas. Volunteers will meet Saturday, August 15, to repaint the exterior of the church. A newly organized women s circle of the church will provide a 5 p.m. dinner for the workers. Anyone wishing to help please contact Ron Harrison. Future plans include changing the steps leading to the basement, construction of a new narthex, and making a pastor's study out of the present narthex. Architects plans have also been made for future addition to the church building if growth of the community warrants it. Alturas Man To Give Talk "Why Does Man Need A Divine Guide?" John Parks, Alturas, will speak on the subject, "Is the Bible a Man-made Book or a Divine Guide?"
