TV Commentator Seeks Navy Post NEW YORK (AP) - Television commentator Edward R. Murrow has applied for a commission In Ihe U.S. Naval Reserve. The Navy said Thursday that Murrow applied to serve in Ihe public information field. It was re ported that if the commission is granted Murrow would have the rank of commander. Murrow, 51, said he has no radio or television programs in mind now that are related to the Navv He is on a year's leave of absence from the Columbia Broadcasting System, although he plans to do two TV documentaries next year and continue to appear on the Small World program.
