Camp Fire Girls Camp
Slated To Open August 8
The Camp Fire Girls Resident
camp, Camp Ka-est-a at Lake of
The Woods, will open Saturday,
August 8, for a season of three
weeks. In telling about Ihe camp.
Mrs. Naomi French, camp direc
tor, said that the three weeks will
be full of fun and outdoor living
experiences for girls eight to 18
years of age.
Plans are being made for 100
girls in camp each week to en
joy swimming, boating, canoeing,
hiking, horseback riding, arch
ery, campfire programs and
many other activities which will
be planned by the girls after they
arrive in camp. Mrs. French said
that 268 girls now have reserva
tions for the camp and although
some units are full, girls may still
register for unfilled unils each
week or for all three weeks.
