NEWCOMERS to the city are Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Bur
man who arrived recently from Mesa, Arizona, where he
has for eight years been manager of the Sears store and
will head their store in this city. This is their first time in
Oregon and they are delighted with the climate, beautiful
scenery and friendly people. Although he has many inter-

which his wife hopes to soon join him. Their two married

DESERT SUNSHINE appeals to Mr. and Mrs. Don An
derson who will leave the first of August for Palm Springs
where they have purchased a motel. Bonnie Lucas Ander
son, member of a family of long time residents, and her
husband will be missed by their many friends with whom
they have been actively associated in civic, business and
social circles.

have been touring the United States since May when they left New Orleans, where Dr.
Blumenfeld has been on the faculty of Louisiana State University. They left Klamath Falls
ft Thursday for a leisurely trip to Whitewater, Wisconsin, where he will become a mem

MR. AND MRS. TOM GARRATt and daughter, Barbara Jean, left recently for
their new home in Portland. They have resided in Klamath Falls for a little over seven
years. Tom Garratt has been game management agent for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife
Service, and will serve in the same capacity in the Portland offices. He has been with th
service since he and Mrs. Garratt came to the west from) their Illinois homes in 1946.
