Women who have sensitive skins find themselves prone to rashes and other irritations. There are several ways to keep yourself comfortable through such weather. First, remember that lightweight, loosely fitted clothing is far more comfortable and there fort better for your skin. It's also time to put away your closed pumps and get out open, airy san dals. If you've a special summer sport, say golfing, take a medical led powder with you to the links. !lt should go into your golf shoe before you start playing. It's ab sorbent, refreshing and contains, the makers say, two antiseptics to destroy harmful bacteria. It'a also handy to make a girdle slip on easily during hot and sticky weather. And by the same token, this powder can be used daily after shower or bath to give your skin a cool, slick feel ing. , North America ranks third ia ize as a continent, after Asia 'and Africa, respectively. The scientists had a hard time distributing the stoves at first. The neat, shiny reflectors looked like commercial merchandise to the four tribes of the reservation, who are never far from poverty. "We had to sell them on the idea of taking something for nothing." Dr. Barnett said. Once the In dians accepted the idea, they be came almost too eager to help. Thirty-seven families accepted cookers, and all of the owners said they used them constantly. A little applied research and the scientists discovered perhaps half the families were actually using them. Other solar cookers have been distributed to various parts of the world, but Barnett says the Wis consin project is 'the first attempt at gauging the device's efficiency and acceptability in daily food preparation. The findings? Indians nave no nylon over pink taffeta and match ing headbands. Their flowers were white lace fans with blue and white carnations.
