Mrs. Cecil Drew was chairman of the party. She and her committee turned the club rooms into a colorful spring setting with the use of umbrellas and arrangements of spring flow ers. Harold Dehlinger, and Homer DeLama ter, past associate guardians of Bethel 51. Chandelle Horsely was presented a special pin for winning the new member contest conducted during the past term. Honored Queen Becky announced merit awards and presented the members with their bronze, silver or gold pins. Senior Princess Virginia Hunt announced that installation of offi cers will be held at the Henley High School cafeteria June ( at 7:30 p.m. The guardian council tor the coming year waa installed by Past Grand Guardian Phyllis Poole. New council members are Orabclle Rhodes, guardian: Pat Kaylor, secretary: Stella Dehlin ger, treasurer; Bonnie Finchum, music: Thelma Short, parapherna lia: Evelyn Biehn, finance: Beu lah Balsiger. sociability; Gretchen Thompson, hospitality; and Doris Hunt, publicity. The new guardian and associ ate guardian received the travel ing pins denoting their new offices. Gretchen Thompson was presented a past guardian's pin, and Bob Dehlinger was given a Bible, in appreciation of his service. Each expressed gratitude for the fine cooperation of the council and bethel members. - Librarian Sara Williams read a humorous article. Special guests, members of Lost River Masonic Club, were Intro duced by each girl who had in vited her "Secret Father" to the meeting. The meeting was closed with the r.nAn Rihle rM-monv in honor of outgoing Honored Queen Becky Short, each member signing the Bible in an impressive candlelight procession. BIRTHDAY CELEBRATED WEED Mrs. Muriel Upton was the honored guest at a dinner par ty held Monday evening. May 11, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Strothers. The 75th birthday of Mrs. Upton on that date occa sioned the party celebration and was planned as a surprise in her behalf.
