The evening candle light service was read by the Rev. R. Mueller of Dodge City, Kan sas. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Blocker of T?ur dett, Kansas. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Smithers of Klamath Falls are par ents of the bridegroom. Given in marriage by her lath er; the bride wore a gown of lace over taffeta. The fitted bodice fea tured a Peter Pan collar and long sleeves. The full skirt was fash ioned with many tiers of ruffled lace. A coronet of lace embroid- i ered with pearls and sequins held her veil of illusion and site car ried a corsage of red rosebuds on a white Bible a gift from her sponsors, Mr. and Mrs; Bill Beltz. wenrinir a rnval hlnp'Vrnrk nnri uariene Beltz of Bazine, in a dress of light blue, were brides maids. Lefioy Bigil of Salina, was best man and Garrv Wettstein. Salina. was groomsman. William Springer and John Ray of Salina were ushers. Before the ceremony the can dles were lighted ' by Etta War den, Great Bend, and Mrs. Vir ginia York-, Dodge City. Guests were registered by Barbara Bir zer. Beverly Tittel, as organist, ac companied Viola Rhoads when she sang "Because" and "The Lord's Prayer.!' 1 Mrs. Blocker wore a navy blue dress with white accessories and Airs. Smithers chose a dress of rose wool and black accessories. Both mothers wore corsages of white carnations and red roses. Following the wedding a recep tion was held in the church par lor. Assisting were Lou Ann Long, Eldorado, Mrs. Victor Wittig, Mrs. Earl Haymond and Mrs. , Merle Warden, all of Burdett, Mrs. Bill Beltz, Mrs. George Beiber, Mrs. Henry Beltz and Mrs. Al Tittel of Bazine. The couple will reside in Salina, Kansas, where the bridegroom is stationed with the Air Force. The 1959 officers of Naomi Shrine- No. 5, White Shrine of Je rusalem, held their ,tirst meeting on Saturday, April 11, at the Ma sonic Temple, with Ruth Roden berger. worthy high priestess, and Elvin Philips, watchman of shep herds presiding. Preceeding the meeting; mem bers enjoyed a potluck dinner at K:30 in the dining room. Tables in the form of a large cross, were decorated in the April Shower" motif, with an umbrella and floral arrangement of yellow and white as a centerpiece and miniature umbrellas about the olher tables: all this arranged by Nell Retterath. In charge of the potluck and refreshments alter the meeting were Ruth Rodenber gcr, Nell Retterah, assisted by Betty Hunter and Louise O'Brien. Before the business meeting a musical program was presented by La Vcrn Burgess, soloist, who was accompanied on the piano by Ueatrico Uennison. Escorted and introduced in the East by the new WHP and WOS were William Pierson, deputy su preme 'watchman of shepherds; Vera Fritsch, district deputy; Hel w McCornack. supreme page and junior past WHP: Dale Howell, supreme king's guard and junior past WOb, and also a group of past WHP and WOS. Installation of a group of offi cers unable to be present for the regular installation last month, was conducted bv installing Wor thy High Priestess. Nell Retterath and Aletha Howell, installing wor my herald. Those installed were Edith Applegate, worthy guard; Bess Frazer, escort to the flag: Myrtle Scnieferstein and Marion Pratt, as queen's attendants. Committees were appoinled for the year's work by lyith Rodcn bergor WHP, and plans for her coming trip to supreme session at Minneapolis, Minnesota, in May were discussed. O'DOWER and her children, Mary Beth and Michael, era visiting at the home of her lister, Mrs. Wilson Wiley and family, 1234 Pacific Terrace. Hugh O'Dower, who accompanied his family to Klamath Falls, left last week via United Air Lines for Alaska where he will hunt polar bear off the Bering Straits and later brown bear on Kodiak Island.
