OREGON PAGE ft A FBI, Wife Relax Now ALBUQUERQUE, KM (AP The FBI and a worried wife arc relaxed today, 'now that Robert Ayers Franklin is back home Mrs. Franklin called Ihe FB1 and newspapers early Tuesday saying she hadn't heard from her husband since he left April l car rying "classified documents." Franklin, manager of Radiation Inc., makers of electronic equip ment, left to visit Ft. Huachuca Ariz., and clients in Phoenix. He walked into the house Tues day night, and his wife quickly picked up the phone and explained to reporters and FBI that "he had been out on a missile range and was out of reach of a phone all the time." Crowd Visits Plane Show Between 4,000 and 5,000 people visited the Piperama Show at Kingsley Field Sunday, sponsored by the Klamath Flying Service and local distributors of Piper Air craft. Don Gourley, Klamath Falls won the $100 solo air license and 415 airminded guests were flown on (lights over the city and sur rounding country between 10 a.m, and 6:30 p.m. Art Whitaker, Piper Aircraft dis tributor for Oregon, Idaho, Wash ington and northern Montana and members of his crew, Jack Fee ney and Vert Broker, all of Van- couver, Washington, were present for the celebration that marked the 15th anniversary of the flying service in Klamath Falls. Nixon seems to have dropped out of the news recently, but: "I hope they (the Renuhlieans) don't bury him until after the next election. He'll be the easiestoto lick." The former chief executive, now 74, declined at a luncheon meeting Tuesday to indicate whom he will back as the Democratic nominee in 1960, but, he said: "The man who will be nominat ed will not divide the country by race, religion or foreign policy. We'll need leadership and we musi be sure that the affairs of the world are in the hands of an exec utive who knows what he's doing and where he's going." Nothing For Him; Barkeep Shoots Irate Customer DETROIT (AP)-Frank Holmes, 41, felt slighted Tuesday when all the customers but he got a drink on the house at a downtown bar. Holmes started behind the bar to get his own. He went down with a bullet in the shoulder. Bartender William Howard, 36. who is held for investigation of assault with intent to kill, told police he fired one shot into the floor to warn Holmes and then one at the man when he failed to stop. Howard said Holmes was left out of the free round as a joke. Cleric Can't Perform Rite LAS VEGAS, Nev. (AP) Rabbi Max Nussbaum of Temple Israel, Hollywood. Calif., cannot marry Elizabeth Taylor and Eddie Fisher in Nevada. He is Miss Taylor's selection but three Las Vegas judges informed her Tuesday the rabbi isn't qual ified to perform marriages in this state because he doesn't have a congregation in Nevada. Rabbi Nussbaum instructed Miss Taylor in the history and beliefs ot Judaism and then officiated at the ceremony in which sjg accept ed it as her faith. She formerly was a Christian Scientist. Fisher is establishing six weeks residence in Nevada prior to filing for a quickie divorce from Debbie Reynolds. Cancer can no longer be called a "woman's disease." The Amer ican Cancer Society says that 53 out of every 100 cancer deaths occur among men. Mate Preferred Oldero Women LOS ANGELES (AP)-Actress-singer Gloria Grey. 25. says her husband preferred the company of a 55-year-old woman friend to hers. He was cold to her and went through long silences, she told a judge Tuesday. Miss Grey was granted an un contested divorce from her hus band of eight months, Stanley Herman, Z5.
