The following officers for the coming year were .elected: Mrs. Lester Brookshire, president: Mrs. Harold Catmull, vice presi dent; Mrs. Fred Krauel. secre tary; Mrs. James Creswell, treas urer. Mrs. Phillip Cole installed the new officers and presented each with a lovely carnation cor sage. . Mrs. Brookshire presented Mrs. Cole with a gift of sterling silver candlesticks In appreciation of her fine work as president the past year. Mrs. Brookshire also announced that Mrs. Cole was elected first vice president of the Oregon State Auxiliary at the state convention in Portland March fi. MRS. DAISY THOMSEN, worthy grand matron of the Ordsr of Eastern Star of Oregon was guest of honor at a no hostess luncheon at the Pelican Party Room on Thurs day, March 26. Officers and members of Aloha Chapter No. 61, Cascade Crest Chapter No. 1 59, Manianita Chapter No. 172, and Prosperity Chapter No. 160, at tended the affair. In addition to his regular sludies this year he is student as sistant to Dr. LaRivers and is working on an independent re search project.
