Daley, seeking a second four- year term in a city that hasn't had a GOP mayor since 1931. wants to roll up 775.000 Demo cratic votes to demonstrate his party's potency. The Republican standard-bearer former Congressman Timothy Sheehan figures some 130.000 GOP voters will turn out for their pri mary the worst showing in years. AP National Assn. for the Advancement of Col ored People officials have estab lished a youth council in the all Negro community of Boley. NAACP youth official John White said Sunday the council is needed to acquaint Boley's youth with NAACP objectives in the event they move to other cit ies and face segregation problems. Parish Plans Ham Dinner MERRILL Final preparations and arrangements are being com pleted lor St. Augustine's men's annual ham dinner scheduled (or Sunday, March 1, at the parish hall. The menu of the dinner, pre-i pared by the men of the' parish and served family style, will in clude turkey in addition to ham and all the trimmings. Serving time will be from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tickets, which may be pur chased at the door, are $1.75, adults; $1, grade school children: pre-school children, free. Heading the dinner committee as general chairman is Walter Wil son, Merrill. Assisting co-captains are Henry O'Keeffe and Ed Mc Cully of the Malin area: Bill Gass er and Leon Andrieu of the Mer rill area; and Charles Matney and Jack M. O'Connor Irom the Spring Lake district.
