Pee Wee Stidham and his Butte Valley Rangers are donating their time and music. Admission 90 cents. Shower There will be a bridal shower at the Bonanza Library at 8 p.m. February 4 in honor of Mrs. Delbert Kincaid, the former Crete Mathews of Bonanza. All friends are invited. Benefit Show The radio request benefit show for the March of Dimes over Station KCNO, Altur as, Sunday afternoon added $250 to the fund. Donation by the Clifford Harter Post VKW Auxiliary of S125 this week brought the total swimming pool fund for the Alturas civic project up to $14,892.14. Work on the pool is progressing. " Swimming Classes Modoc Coun ty Chapter of the American Red Cross is planning to conduct Red Cross swimming classes in the Al turas swimming pool during the summer months, according to Ross Biglcr, chairman of the chapter. Qualified college students may be employed to assist with the class es. Returned Mr. and Mrs. Milan Briles have returned to Cedarville after attending a service school jn connection with their hardware store for Wcstinghouse distribu tors. Their store was closed dur ing their absence, but is now re opened. ' .New Pine Creek The Willow Ranch Firemen and Fire-ettes held their annual banquet at Benny's Place in Alturas on Saturday night. Fifteen couples drove to Canby .after the banquet where they at tended a dance. New Pine Creek Darvin Robnett and his father, Ernest Robnett, of New Pine Creek, delivered a young Morgan saddle horse to a buyer In Portland last week. ... From Chiloquin Mr. and Mrs. John Penhall and family of Chilo quin were visitors in New Pine Creek last weekend. Penhall is em ployed at, Johns-Manville. Home Patty Jo Rushton was home in New Pine Creek last week on a between-semester vacation from, Chico State College. In Hospital Word was received by Sally Gallagher of New Pine Creek that W. H. To Eugene Mr. and Mrs. Frank Pearson and son left New Pine Creek for their home in Eugene last week. Pearson had been haul ing logs in the area for some time. Lakeview High Honor Roll Told LAKEVIEW - Thirtv-five stu dents pj the Lakeview High School achieved honor roll status at the close of the first semester, ac cording to Delbert Milholland, high school principal. This requires a grade point average of 3.01 or bet ter. Ten members of the senior class were listed on the roll. Girl Scout Tell Plans Recommendations made by the Girl Planning Board of the Klam ath Area Girl Scout Council, which met January 24 in the YMCA head quarters, will be channeled to the adult program chairman for con sideration in the overall planning of the program committee. Eighty one delegates and guests discussed spring program events in which troops throughout the council will take part. Hal H. Ogle.
