SIGN NEW CONTRACT MIAMI (UPIl - Eastern Air Lines announced Wednesday it has signed a new contract with the air lines stewards and stewardesses association, effective to Jan. 31, , MHO. Merry Miiera will hold a square dance welcome party for the new class at the South Sixth Street Community Hall Friday at 8 p.m. This will be potluck; all members are urged to attend. Community Council The Com munity Council of Klamath County will bold its January meeting on Wednesday at 12 noon at the Wi- nema Hotel. Annual Meeting The sharehold ers of the Klamath Public School Employes Federal Credit Union will hold their annual meeting on January 24 at 10 a.m. in the lec ture room of the county library All members are urged to attend as this will he an important meeting. Birthday Dinner Women of the Moose and Loyal Order of Moose whose birthdays are m January will be honored at a free dinner January 31 in the Moose Hall All other members are invited and urged to attend. A March of Dimes dance will follow the dinner. Mission Study The First Meth odist Church is having its annual mission study each Sunday eve ning through February 8: A pot- luck supper at 5:30 Sunday eve ning will be followed by the mis sion study on North American neighbors. Play will start at 1 p.m. Anyone not wishing to play cards is in vited to be present for the tea starting at 3:30 p.m. This year the attair, annually one of the highlights of the winter season will go to the children's science section of the city library. APi-Lauiu-hing nl the first satellite from this West Coasl base has been postponed lor technical reasons. The launching, scheduled for Wednesday, was set back more than 24 hours, but the Advanced Research Projects Agency gave no lurther details. The satellite will be the first of a dozen or more in the Discoverer series aimed at gaining informa tion to pave the way for man to venture into space.
