Three KF Pupils Make Honor Roll Of 81 students at Oregon State College making straight-A grades during the tall term there, three were from Klamath Falls, it was learned here with publication of the honor roll Tuesday. The names of the three singled out for this special recognition, Barbara S. Goeller, Loren D. Meeker and Neil E. West, were among those of nine students from this area who were listed on the roll for the fall term. The other names on the honor roll were those of Keith R. Lar son. Roberta R. Matthews and Raymond A. Zalunardo. all of Klamath Falls, and James P. Mad den. Malin; Theodore K. Siemens. Chiloquin: and Jane H. Palmer, Chcmult. Workshop Held By Bureau Chief Cliff Wright, Salem, organiza tional chairman for the Oregon Farm Bureau Federation, conduct ed an all-day training workshop here for officers and leaders of the Klamath County Farm Bureau January 6 at the Willaid Hotel. Wright emphasized the need for all organizations to secure highest percentage of member participa tion possible and the assuming of responsibilities through work on committees. He also outlined the work of committees on resolutions, taxes, legislation, publicity, com modities and public relations. County Farm Bureau Chairman Lloyd Hankins, Bonanza, reelected last falls, was present and spoke briefly during the morning session. Mrs. Elsie Rueck also of Bonanza heads the woman's group of the bureau. I'eipmg Radio said today. Werner Rites Set Saturday Eugene Werner, a long resident of Klamath Falls, died lanuary 5. apparently following a heart attack. He was born in Skutskar, Sweden, in 18Wi and came to this country in 1919. He met and married Edith Norrgaid uakland. California, in 1922. They moved to Klamath Falls in 1929 and resided at 2327 Darrow. He was a member of the 20- Year Club of Weyerhaeuser Tim. her Company having been em ployed there since 1J30. Mr. Wer ner was an active member of the Order of 'aa No. 460 in this city, and had served as district master of the Northwest District of the International Order of Vasa. lie was also a member of the Klamath Lutheran Church and the International Woodworkers of America. Beside the widow, he is sur- timoivived by two daughters. Mrs. i.iiit 11 a uuinouii u. mi.uuiiivuie, and Mrs. Joseph Matlick Jr. ot Klamath Falls: two brothers, Con rad Werner of Chicago and Emil Erickson of Sweden: one sister, Karen Skarberg of Sweden; and three granddaughters and two grandsons.
