De cember 20. at 8 p.m. There will be a sift exchange and refreshments. No charge. All radio hams and their families and anyone in terested in ham radio are invited. Quick Thinking Saves KF Man j When the baby's high c b t r slipped out from under William Moore, whs had climbed on it to repair kitchen light fixture, thej consequences were dramatic. On his way to Uie fioor, Moore slammed against a window which broke under the impact, and the shattered glass severed an artery and tendons in his right arm. The accident occurred at about S p.m. inursaay. , i While Moore's wife summoned- Peace Ambulance to their resi dence at 1650 Arthur Street, Moore managed to get hold of a baby s diaper, with which he improvised tourniquet to stanch the flow of blood. Thanks to this self-held un der trying circumstances, as well as to the prompt appearance of the ambulance, the 34-year-old Moore survived what could have been a fatal injury. In fact, he survived so well that he was able to return home from the hospital Friday morning. Actress Seeking Estate Money HOLLYWOOD, Calif. AP) Linda Christian wants $630 a month from Tyrone Power's es tate for support of each of their two daughters. Her attorney James Fiziolio said h will ask Superior Court to authoriie the payment because when Power and Miss Christian were divorced no provision was made for child support. "With Power's death, alimony to Miss Christian ceased, he said. "For this reason, support for the children must come from the estate." U.S. Atty. Ben Peterson filed i the case in U.S. District Court here last week against Charles G. and Mary J. Hall of Cottonwood, Calif. The charge accuses the couple of sending from California! and Medford, Ore., information s on how to obtain obscene ma!ter( and obscene pictures. The couple; was accused of sending the mate-: rials received. Previous pro-i cedure required charges to be brought in the district from which' the mail originated. Officials said tfce two defend-! ants have signed statements racii-J eating that they wish to plead guilty. The statements also con sented to -prosecution by informa tion rather than indictment. Five counts were specified. Maximum penalty for conviction under the law is a $5,000 fine five years in prison, or both. Local PO Plans Limited Service Limited Saturday afternoon service at the Klamath Falls Post Office has been announced far December 20 by Postmaster Ches ter Laneslet. The parcel post, par cel notice and stamp windows will remain open until 5 p.m. Lang slet says there is also a possibil- itv that parrel and letter mail de livery will be made on Sunday if the volume of mail on hand warrants. The postmaster asks that persons receiving parcel no tices claim their parcels as soon as possible. The Southern Pacific Railroad reports that thus far it has been (able to handle the Christmas mail with little delay.
