November 1ft. at the home of Katie Vanderhoff. 42:14 Bristol Avenue, with Lavonne Kellow as cohostess. President Lorraine Storey con ducted the business meeting dur ing which Brownie Bramwell, vice president, gave a report on the five chapter party at Reames Country Club on November 11. Fif teen members from Kappa Chapter attended. Jonnie Vanish distribut ed the new five chapter roster. Following the closing ritual Car ol Creswell gave an interesting pro gram. "The Art of Dress." Refreshments were served to Lois Rea, Carol Creswell, Katie Vandrrhoff, Lorraine Storey, Maiy Lou Rottfs, Lavonne Kellow, Brown ie Bramwell, Donna Turner, Doro thy Lowell, Charlotte Pierce, Jon nie Vanish and Shirley Mayhew. TAU CHAPTER Tau Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi met November 4 at the home of Ponnie Fredrickson. Charlotte Cummins, a visit ing transfer from Jerome, Idaho, was a guest. Following the business meeting. 12 girls were initiated as pledges into the chapter. They were Joan Spazil, Karla Rackleff, Frances Childers, Sue Smith, Joy Baldwin, Mary Lou Stanbery, Iris Ilossfeld, Jean Badorek, Dannie Gibson, Lorene Galbrealh, Freddie Blanc and Charlotte Trumbull. AAUW Enjoys Luncheon At OTI Members and guests of AAUW enjoyed the hospitality or Oregon Technical Institute Saturday, No vember 15, when their annual fel lowship luncheon was served in the Sludent Union Building on the cam pus. Chef for the occasion was Clara Fink, assisted by Aletha Shannon, Lillian Brandt, and Irma Wauch ope. Savanna Smith, Krma .Mc Vey, Betty Stenkle and Clarice Frantz were responsible for the table decorations. Dried arrange ments in driftwood were attuned to the Thanksgiving theme by many clever pine cone turkeys. OTI students provided musical entertainment when David Sloan. Phyllis Marcy and Marv Wheeler each sang a solo and then com bined their talents in a trio num ber. Barbara Edwards at the piano and Boh McDermott with the string bass were the accompanists: Walter Hoag, instructor at OTI, conducted a personal tour of the Brussels World Fair by showing and describing his many' fine slides taken last summer. Fellowship chairman Dorothy Johnson introduced Lidwena Gopp, OTI student from Germany. Mrs. Johnson and Helen Hoffman pre sented a clever skit about Inter planetary fellowship, written by Mrs. Hoffman. A successful book and record sale was conducted by iuaniou o Connor. Little Shasta N Auction Club MONTAGUE The Thanksgiving motif was used oy Mrs. Glenn Perry when she entertained the Little Shasta Auction Club at her home in Little Shasta on Wednes day, November 12. She was assist ed by Mivs. 0. L. Bullock. High score was held by Mrs. Sid jcrwiiiiger and low score by Mrs Aldee Davis and Mrs. Jennie Math ews. Mrs. Eric Johnson received the guest and traveling prizes. Other guests were Mrs. Orlo Da vis, Mrs. Brice Long, Mrs. Allie Moore, Mrs. Morris Pralher, Mrs Henrietta Terwilliger, Mrs. Keith vidler. Mrs. Larry Walters and her three children. POCAHONTAS LODGE WEED A school of instruction was conducted by past Great Poca hontas Marcella Rice of St. Hel ena, California, at the November 7 meeting of Wabcno Council 231 Degree of Pocahontas. Mrs. Alma Killingsworth acted as the presid ing Pocahontas in the absence of Mrs. Dorothy Sottana. Mrs. Col leen Guill of Iona Council received the award for the evening. Re freshments were served by host esses, hairy Pluegar, Carolyn Oates una Rachel Doughty. v mm Patricia Merron (Jriile McCLOl'D - White and chrysanthemums decorated MRS. ARCH G. PROCTOR entertained with a coffee hour at her home November 18 honoring Mrs. French B. Harrington of Los Angeles. Mrs. Harrington is past registrar general and past president of the Colonial Dames of the 17th Century. She is at present chairman of their national executive board, Mrs, Harrington is also state president of the California Dames of the Court of Honor and is active in other pat riotie groups such as DAC, DAR, and Daughters of 1812. During the morning she spoke on organiiation and work of the Colonial Dames. Mrs. George H. Proctor and Mrs. Albert O. Roenicke presided at the coffee table. Photo by Ellis SHOWER HONORS RECENT BRIDE MAL1M A prettily arranged bridal shower was held October 29 in the Malin Community Hall to honor the former Mary Ann Evans, now Mrs. Jerry Derry. Assisting Mary Ann in opening the gifts were Sheila Kunz of Klamath Falls and Mary Harrison, a former classmate of the bride's at Malin High School. Shirley Bunnell played several piano selections for the enjoyment of the guests. A lovely arrange ment of chrysanthemums in fall tones centered the attractive re freshment table. Louis Donald, born November 11 in Port land. He joins two sisters, Ann Kathryn, 2, and Karen Elizabeth, His father is a medical student at Portland University. Mr. and Mrs. Louis J. Taucher. 1G39 Nimilz Street, are the grand parents. Moffelt Field Chapel November 8 when Patricia Lee Herron, daugh ter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Herron, became the bride of Joseph Ed ward Sullivan of Detroit, Michi: gan. The Rev. Father Quinn officiated at the 10 o'clock morning service. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a gown of white Chantilly lace over taffeta, fash ioned with a scoop neckline andlcessories three - quarter length pointed sleeves. She wore a short veil and carried a white orchid corsage en circled with white carnations. For tradilion she carried an heirloom handkerchief, wore new earrings, blue garter and a lucky penny in her shoe. Mrs. Daniel Sloan of McCloud was matron of honor. Her frock van pink was of blue Ufleta in the empire the WC with a matching hat. She DESSERT BRIDGE The Thanksgiving motif was used by Mrs. Doug Smclccr when she entertained with a dessert bridge party November 12 at her home in Bonanza. High score was won by Mrs. Owen Popple, second high by Mrs. Harold Williams and low by Mrs. Lloyd Gift. Mrs. Mabel Max well was given the traveling prize. Other guests were Mrs. Ted Row cliffe. Bridesmaids were Beverlv Pe terson and Jackie Dobbin who wore empire styled dresses in two shades of pink with matching hals. Patrick Givvon of Mount View was best man. Ushers were James Cadle and Donald Mathews of Ir vingion. The bride's mother, Mrs. Her ron, wore a dress of rose-beige lace over tafteta with Dink ae- and an orchid corsage. Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Sullivan, parents of the bridegroom, live in Amersthurc. Ontario. Canada, and were unable to attend the wedding. A reception was held in the San Jose Country Club. Silver candela bra flanked the three tiered wed ding cake which was served bv Mrs. Roliert Clark. The guest book was passed by Mrs. Bar bara Davison. The bride attended McCloud schools, College of Pacilic and San Jose Slate College. She has been employed as bookkeeper at the San Jose Country Club. the bridegroom is aviation elec tronics techician second class in the Navy.
