A jury trial opened in district
court Tuesday morning for Mrs.
Eve W'alta Peterson, charged with
driving while her license was sus
pended. Mrs. Peterson. 42. of 3114 Bristol
Street, was arrested by State Po
lice Officer Roland Clark October
2 on Summers Lane. She subse
quently pleaded innocent to a
charge of driving during a sus
pended period and posted $200 bail.
Mrs. Peterson's license was sus
pended following a municipal court
conviction for driving while intoxk
cated last June.
At that lime, officers said, her
car struck a pedestrian. Mrs.
W. Wright of 2122 Reclama
tion Avenue. Mrs. Wright suffered
a broken leg and other injuries
as a result of the accident at the
intersection of East Main and F.b,
erlein streets June 14.
The state is represented in
the district court trial by Deputy
