Shasta Ski Bowl Lodfic, even (hough the lodge, road and chair lift are not officially open. On Wednesday, the Siskiyou County Board of Supervisors made an inspection trip to see the 41)0 car parking area and the ap proach to the lodge which will be officially included in the Siskiyou County road system and subject to snow clearing and maintenance. They indicated they will take this official action at the board meet ing next Tuesday. Heron Engineering Company ot Denver is installing the one and one half miles of double chair lift rising from the 7,0.10 elevation to iipproximately the 9.8."i0 level. Ca ble installation is complete and :hair installation will begin this week. The access road under construc tion to the lodge site from the city of Mount Shasta is about 14 miles long. .loss Briggs, contractor, has the road about !)5 per cent complete, lie is handling the eager visitors as grncclully as possible but is not yet encouraging full use of the road. Less than a week of blacktopping work remains to he done and the road work is suffi ciently complete that crews are no longer concerned about a break in the weather. The first large group to use the facility was llic Tri-State Brother hood of Railroad Trainmen Conven tion hold in Dunsmuir last weekend. About 400 delegates and their wives lie until sometime in November. A big grand opening is slated for November 27, 28, 2!t and 30.
