BASIN BRIEFS From San Francisco The Rev. end Mrs. James Mott, Chilo quin, were hosts last week to her sister, Mrs. Barbara Scolnick, and children from San Francisco. Reunion Getting together for ,the first time in 22 years were a brother and sister, Mrs. Roy Mc Allister, Chiloquin, and Wilbur Ir win, Fresno, California. The Ir- wins and their two daughters were guests of the McAllister family last week. From Coast Mr. and Mrs. Rog er McKenzie and family, Coos Bay, were in Chiloquin last week end visiting with his grandmother, Mrs. Joe Herkshan, and Mrs. McKenzie's mother and brother and sister, the Parazoos, who had returned to Chiloquin after spend ing the summer and fall in Rapid City. South Dakota. Visiting at the Karl Kujac home in Malin is his sister, Mrs. Anton Jatczak of Milwaukee, Wis consin. Malin A doughnut sale will be held Saturday, October 11, begin ning at 10 a.m. in the building formerly occupied by the dentist. Coffee will be served with the doughnuts or doughnuts may be purchased by the dozen. Dough nuts will be made right at the sale by American Legion Auxili ary members. From Grants Pass Mr. and Mrs. Hilton S. Clair, Grants Pass, former residents of New Pine Creek, are visiting in New Pine Creek with relatives and friends. In New Pine Creek Mr. and Mrs. Mearle Chase and Mrs. Ruth Howard, all of Eugene, are visit ors in the New Pine Creek area. The Chases have just returned from an air trip to South America. Returned F. W. Brown has re turned to his home in Langell Valley after a visit with his son, Martin Brown, and family in Ter ra Bella, California. Lakeview Visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Leavitt of Langell Valley were Mrs. Dee Chandler and Gloria of Lakeview and Mrs. Chandler's son, John D. Chan dler, of Los Angeles. Invitation Friends are invited to the silver wedding anniversary party at the Bonanza library from 3 until 5 the afternoon of October 12 in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Burnett of Langell Valley. From Eugene Sandra Gentry and her fiance, Bob Hartford, Eu gene, were recent visitors at the home of Sandra s grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Clay Walker in Lan gell Valley. From Merlin Sherry Crawford of Merlin, Oregon, spent several days in Bonanza at the home of her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs, Lester Jones, and Mr. and Mrs. John Brown. Another sale will be held this Saturday, Octo ber 11, in the same location, the building next door to the Bonanza post office, with more articles do nated.
