New Record Set By Fire Damage BOSTON (AP) Two million fires with aggregate destruction of Sl.280.000.000 last year sent Amer ican fire losses to the highest point in the country s history, the Na tional Fire Protection Assn. re ported today. SHIP FIRES ROCKET WASHINGTON (UPI) - A two stage rocket assembly was fired to an altitude of 152 miles from a ship in the South Pacific last Sun day, the Navy announced Wednes day.
