Move is from Seattle to Ta coma, here Mr. E. will teach all choral music in Clover Park High School, Lakewood District of Tacoma. and Mrs. E. will return to private teaching of notes and scales. Just any old subject has no cur riculum appeal to Nancy Dewey, senior this year at Oregon State College, majoring in math, school of science. Spanish and German, Arabic and Cantonese were out when Nancy, who claims Mr. and Mrs. Howard Dewey of our town as parents, found she could take Russian. This will be her second year in the difficult language, has eyes on future in some spot among intelligensia here or abroad . . . in fact has already been inter viewed. Nancy is part-time sec retary to Dr. Jerome Li, head of the statistics department, OSC, during spare moments. Is spend ing summer of 1058 riding to and fro in Klamath County Library Bookmobile. Oster brought greetings from Ruth Dev ers, international president of the Rehekah Assemblies. She also told of the work of the Odd Fellow and Rehekah Old Peo ples Home. The lodge gave a tableau of the chaplains charge. August 10, honoring the Norris Wilson family who will leave Cedarville later in the month for Redding where Norris will be assistant coach at a high school in Redding. The families attending were those of Karen Cockrell. Dar rell Davis, Elba Mullen, Herman Johnson, Pete Laxague, Maynard Gooch, Jack Macdonald, Walter Kober, F. B. Harris and Link Ervin. Grand Chief Visits Yreka YREKA Highlight of the Sep tember 24 meeting of the Aurora Temple, No. 53, Pythian Sisters will be the official visit of Mrs. i Irene Steele. Pvthian Sisters grand' chief of California. Plans for a potluck dinner were made at the meeting of the organ ization held Wednesday evening. August 13. with Most Excellent Chief Helena Schluetcr presiding. The potluck dinner for the Sep-1 tember meeting will take place1 prior to the regular session, dur ing which time initiation of new members will take place. Mrs. Charlotte Davis of Little Shasta and Mrs. Betty Calkins of Yreka were named as committee chair men for the dinner event. Mrs. Schluetcr also announced that the annual outdoor potluck party for Pythians, Pythian Sisters and their families has been set for August 27 at 7 p.m. at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Robinson of Yreka.
