So says Naomi L. Lcyhe, new chairman of the department of physical education for women at Indiana University. She heads' a faculty of 10 responsible for the physical education instruction of some 1.450 coeds each semester at this major Midwestern University at Bloomington, south of Indian apolis. Miss Leyhe's experience has given her a varied geographical acquaintance with American wom en. She is a former staff mem ber of Georgia State College for Women, Pacific University in Ore gon, Boston Hospital, and Camp Wenonah in Maine. She also is author of two widely used sports manuals in basketball and vol leyball. A balance among work, rest Here's How To Make A Budget Work New facilities for fueling the Pa cific Northwest's first commercial turbo-prop jet airliners have been completed at Klamath Falls. The same facilities will be put in at a later date at nine other cities served by West Coast Airlines. Construction and installation has been completed at the Klamath Falls municipal airport for perma nent facilities for fueling the new jet planes. The Shell installation includes two 10,000 gallon jet fuel storage tanks which have been put in for this special service to West Coast Airlines. The tanks have submerged inlets and float-! ing suction outlets. Special equip ment includes a 200-gallon per minute pump, a separator, a filter and a truck loading rack. A new refueler truck, built at 1 Shell's Portland shops, has been specially designed for jet fuel handling. A special feature of the refueler truck is a separate tank for water methanol used during take-off for added power. ' The new refueler truck and the two additional jet fuel tanks are ready and waiting for delivery of the first of West Coast's fleet of, six Fairchild F27 turbo-prop air liners. These planes are expected' to go into service in the. Pacific Northwest in late summer or early fall. Bob Hawkins, Klamath Falls representative for Shell Oil, said that the refueler trucks will be leased to West Coast Airlines whose j personnel has been given instruc tion as to their use and maintenance. Shell scientists perfected the fuel dispensing equipment through re search at the Turbine Fuel Equipment Laboratory at Sewar-! en. New Jersey and through ex perience gained as the nation's leading supplier of commercial jet fuel. Shell will be the exclusive supplier of jet fuels to West Coast. Robert A. Moore, station man ager for West Coast in Klamath Falls, estimates that the medium range F27's will cut station-to-station time as much as 40 per cent on regularly scheduled flights and will enable the airline to double the passenger, mail and freight suggested by the Institute of Life Insurance.
