Church Group Sponsors 11 Girls' Coronation Eleven girls were honored re cently at the Stewart Lenox Baptist Church in a girls auxiliary corona tion service, sponsored by the , Woman's Missionary Union of the church. As a worldwide organization of Christian girls who would bring others to Christ, girls auxiliary uses the star for its mystic symbol. The emblem is a white star with the gold monogram 'GA," enclosed by a green octagon with gold edge, i The five star ideals, challenge the : members to missionary witnessing. These are Abiding in Him through prayer, advancing in wisdom by : Bible study, acknowledging my - stewardship, adorned with good works, and accepting the .challenge of the great commission. "The program was preceded by . a medley of missionary hymns, played by Carol Thompson. After the congregational hymn. "We've a Story to Tell to the Nations," ; Mrs. Joe Dunson read the scripture ; passages for the evening. Dorothy '; Darrell sang a solo, "Christ for the 'i Whole Wide World." Mrs. K. Those who reached the step of queen were Kay Thompson, Louise West, Judy Bryant, and Gloria Da vis. Diane Melbourne was recognized as queen regent, the highest step of all in the GA program. This at tainment involved a great deal of study and research including some special projects of her own choos ing. Her part on the program in cluded the quoting of several other scriptures.
