SAN PEDRO. Calif. (AP)
Guards wouldn't let a deputy
county marshal aboard the yacht
Angclita when he asked to see
Gen. Rafael Trujillo Jr.
Several pinup girl types giggled
up the gangplank and aboard the
palatial four-master yesterday as
Lt. George H. Gordon waited and
waited. He had a summons.
An aide assured Gordon the
general, son of the Dominican
Republic's strongman, would see
him as soon as he awakened. At
6 p.m. Gordon "got discouraged

The summons resulted from a
suit filed against the general by
Hollywood actress Lyn Heyburn.

I'm dead serious; I'm not a

when I'm accused of that," said
Miss Merrill, who doesn't need to
act for money either.
It terms of career, Dina (pro

Broadway to television and finally
to the movies, aided and abetted
not' only with that ambition for
acting but also with a patrician
beauty. She is tall, blonde and has
a stunning figure.
MOTHER OF THREE
In real life, she is the socially
prominent Mrs. Stanley Rum-
bough, Jr., of New York, mother
of two boys and a girl, ages five
to 11. Her husband is president
of a couple of manufacturing com
panies.
On her father's side she is a

social leader, who has all those
cereal company millions.
"So that's why I changed my
name for the staee." she said.
It s just like Gloria Vanderbilt
says, producers never take us
seriously. If anything, being what
you call a socialite is a handicap,
you have to work twice as hard.
"Some columnist once wrote
that if she wanted to, Dina Mer
rill could buy 20th Century Fox.
That's ridiculous.
"I've wanted to be an actress
since. . .well, since I was in the
first grade I guess. If I live to
be 90 I'll still feel the same way.
AN ODDITY
"Some of my set looks on me
as an oddity, but I wasn't cut out
to be one of those committee lady
types."
She added, however, that she
does try to do "my share" of
charity and welfare work, and is
