Runyon, will serve the new American Baptist Church of Klamath Falls as pastor during the summer months. He is a native of Hollywood, at tended Monrovia Hish School, Mon rovia, California, California Baptist Theological Seminary, Co- vina, and Westmont College, Santa Barbara, where he received a B.A. in psychology. Following his pastorate here, he will return to the seminary to con tinue his classes and to write a thesis. During the past year he was president of the student body St the seminary and for seven years has worked in the Young Life Campaign among high school students. Last summer he was in terim pastor at the Calvary Bap tist Church, Monrovia for one month. At the present time the Ameri fan Baptist Church is meeting in the music room of Altamont Jun for High School, 3900 South Sixth Street. REV. ETHAN M. WHITMAN Malin Has New Pastor MALIN The Rev. Ethan M Whitman, recent graduate of the San Francisco Theological bchool ordained and installed June 8 lowing his arrival from the Bay Area, is the new pastor of the Malin Community Presbyterian Church. Rev. Whitman was accompanied to Malin by his wife, Mrs, Caro Ivn Whitman and their five chil dren. Connie. 12: Lee, 10: Mary ft; Mark, 6. and Karis (Greek for Grace), who is four ye.irs old. Officiating at the service of or dination and installation were William Kurtz, Merrill, layman and vice moderator; the Rev. Wil liam Saladin. Phoenix, Oregon, in charse of the service: Leonard Will. Malin. who gave the sermon the Rev. Lloyd Henderson, pastor of the Merrill Presbyterian Church who gave the charge to the congre cation: the Rev. Andrew Jams pastor of the Mt. Laki Community Church, the charge to the pastor and the Rev. .lames Overdorlf, leader of the Pelican City Sunday Church School, gave the ordina tion prayer. A reception and "pound party" followed the service. Rev. Whitman will fill the pulpit at Malin Sundav. June 15. with a nursery for pre-school children to he supervised by members of the Westminster Fellowship group in the Sunday School building.
