STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE Crispy Butter Biscuits 2 cups sifted enriched all-purpose flour 4 teaspoons baking powder Vi teaspuon cream of tartar 2 tablespoons sugar s V teaspoon cinnamon 'i teaspoon salt M cup shortening 2-3 cup milk 'ft teaspoon vanilla 2 tablespoons melted butter 'Sift toge her flour, baking pow der, cream of tartar, sugar, cin namon and salt. Cut in shortening until mix' ire resembles small peas. Add milk and vanilla all at once. Stir until dough follows fork around bowl. Pat or rod dough Vi inch thick. Brush with melted butter. Cut intejA rounds. Place on baking sheet, I buttered side down, Brush tops' with remaining butter. (Bake at 425 degrees 8 to 10 -minutes.
