Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Gordon Arant were about to take off for their wedding trip to San Francisco, and the bride (Jeanie Elizabeth Hill I tossed the bouquet high enough to make the sharp contrast of white against the night sky. The bride is the former Jeanie Eliiabeth Hill, daughter of Ralph Hill, Henley District; and the bridegroom is the son of Vernie Arant, Roseburg. MRS. CURTIS R. LOW, standing at the right, was hon ored guest at an informal coffee on Saturday, May 17, in the Pelican Party Room. Hostesses were' wives of the 408th Fighter Group officers at Kingsley Field. ' Mrs. Low was here with her husband, Brigadier Gen eral Low, for the combination Aviation Week and Armed Forces festivities last weekend. Photo by Don KeHler JULY 19 IS THE DATE set for the wedding of Jacque line Ann (Jackie) Robertson to Ramon (Ray) Bell. The bride-elect is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Robert son, Portland, where the announcement was made at a coffee hosted by them and Jackie. Ray' is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin J. Bell, 1935 Portland Street. His family is prominently identified with the business and social life in the Klamath Basin. He and his fiancee are both graduates of University of Oregon and both were well known figures on the Eugene campus. She. is affiliated with Pi Beta Phi sorority and Ray is a member of Alpha Tau Omega fraternity. He is now in the store equipment business in Seattle where the couple will live. SENIOR GIRLS from high schools in Klamath County were treated to tea and a beautiful view at the John D. Merryman residence on Fairmont, where they were guests at the annual AAUW tea on May 16. Mrs. Merryman, a member of the local American As sociation of University Women branch, was hostess. The tea is an annual AAUW Reeent-Grads project, to stimulate and further each graduating girl's interest in college education. ',. , v-; t . - THE AAUW RECENT-GRADS ANNUAL TEA for all graduating senior high school girls in Klamath County was given this year -in May 16 at the home of Dr. and Mrs. John D. Merryman, 1801 Fairmont. Some 250 girls from Klamath Count high schooll were greeted at the Merryman residence between the hours of 2 to 5 p.m. In the receivinq line when the above picture was taken, are Mrs. Merryman, left; and Mrs. Philip Blohm.
