Ambulance Fund Grows CHILOQUIN After an intensi fied three weeks of planning the campaign to raise $3,000 for a new ambulance for the northern Klamath County area, funds be gan to be turned in last week. At a Thursday night meeting of in terested people $313 was credited to the project, according to Lewis Pohll, publicity director. That sum represented the $75 pledge from the Fire Belles, $35 collected by coin cans in business establish ments, and the rest from personal and business donations. The sum was jumped by $82.50 the following night as a result of a benefit dinner given by the Williamson River Mission Club and on Saturday night $284.56 was cleared for the fund by the talent show and auction put on by the Klamath discussion group. . It was decided at the Thursday meeting to have the specifications for the ambulance drawn up and calls for bids will be in the near future. Proceeds from a benefit card party to be held Friday night. March 14, at .the Masonic Hall, will be turned over at that time. The public is reminded that bridge, pi nochle and canasta will be played and tickets are reasonably priced. Section II includes central Cali fornia high schools from Anderson north to the Oregon line. Both teachers and students will participate in roundtable discus sions of homemaking problems during the morning session. A ca tered luncheon at the elementary school auditorium will be followed by installation of officers for the ensuing year. Marvalee Shelton, a Dunsmuir High School student, is among the candidates for president. Mary Ammirati, another Duns muir High School student and cur rently vice president of Section II, will preside at the afternoon ses sion. Sylvester Smith Jr., where she was called on the death ot .Mrs. smith, who drowned in the Sacramento River on February 23.
