NEW HEINZ SOUPS I Chocolate Almonds
H. J. HEINZ announces four new soups to bring to a total

month. Mason Ehrman & Company was named as local dis
tributor for the Heinz 57 varieties to provide prompt and
efficient delivery service to Klamath Falls grocers.
New Pet Instant
Nonfat Dry Milk
The new bright blue, easy-pour,
"flavor saver" packages of Pet In
stant Nonfat Dry Milk made their
appearance recently on your gro
cer's shelves.
The Pet Milk people explain that
their new process "instantizes" the
rontat dry milk crystals so that
the product "mixes faster than you
can stir." The illustrations of the
process show the ordinary dry
milk crystals "popped like pop
corn." In the last three years, consump
tion of nonfat dry milk has in
creased 67 per cent. Unlike so
many, convenience foods, it does
rot cost more to use the nonfat
dry milk powders on the market.
Many families, 1 with a preference
for the chalky taste of skim milk',
use it not only for cooking pur
poses but on the table as the meal
time drink.
The dry milk crystals will dis
solve in cool water and the re
sulting milk can be chilled for
drinking purposes in the refriger
ator. In baking, the dry milk can
be mixed with the other dry in
gredients and liquid added in a
multitude of one-bowl recipes.
Also, for growing children and per
sons on a high protein diet, addi
tional dry milk powder can be
added in cooking, greatly increas
ing the nourishment of soups, cas
seroles, sauces and baked goods.
Milk is America's vitality drink.
Nutritionists advocate increased
use of milk whether you prefer the
fine fluid milk from our local
creameries or wish to use the
nonfat dry milk convenience prod
uct.

rosamarina.

wholesome beef are joined togeth-
for the fourth new soup, Heinz
Vegetable Beef.

stores experienced a gain of 12.2
per cent over the previous year

BUYING I. Q.
When purchasing wearing appar
el for yourself and your family,
check for colorfastness, washabil-
ity, correct size and proper fit for
longer wear. Seams should be
pinked, looped or bound and should
be H inch deep, particularly in
synthetic fabrics. Thread used for
seams should match the fabric and
should be colorfast. Remember that
paper-backed belts are not wash
able because they will be dam
aged by water. Plastic backing
wears and washes well but the
heat of pressing may cause the
plastic to melt. If fabric is pasted
unto buckles, it will come off dur
ing washing. Chrome or aluminum
buckles won't rust, but some oth
er metals might. Detailed washing
instructions usually accompany
good merchandise. Follow the instructions.

MACARONI
If your family likes spaghetti
with tomato meat sauce, try mak

the bread-cereal group in basic

are important because of their
many-sided nutritional contribution
at relatively low cost rather than
on large contributions of one or
