Leland Harris, president, read a letter from the Canby Translator Club which stated that the cost of their station came to around S4.300. The Canby Club also of fered to cooDerate with the Goose Lake Valley Club by extending their tower, on which they receive the Redding station, for a relay to the Sugar Hill point if that is chosen as the location for the best reception in the valley. The cost of the translator for Goose Lake Valley is ascertained to be around $4,300 and $5,500 of which half should be raised before actual construction on the installa tion is begun. Only $220 of the $900 pledged has been paid, according to Irvin L. Faris, secretary-treasurer, but it was decided to start the survey immediately with the money in the treasury in order to find the strength and location of the best signal. Weather' .permitting, Sunday, March 9, was chosen by the flirec tors to run a field meter and pos sibly a picture reception test on Sugar Hill.
