Anyone having do- Discussion Set At Library "What Stakes in the Middle East?" a great decisions subject, will be discussed by a panel at a luncheon meeting of the Klamath County Farm Bureau Women, to he held Friday, February 28, in the Empire Room of the Winema Ho tel. Mrs. Joe Emmert, cataloger at the Klamath County Library, will give a brief explanation of the Great Decisions program and Introduce the guest speakers. Members of the panel will be James Boyle, head of the school of allied arts and sciences at Oregon Technical Institute: Leonard Burk hart, instructor in the engineering division of the school of technical associates, and Walter Hoag, in structor in the school of allied arts and sciences, who participated in the 1957 Great Decisions discussion group. Great Decisions is an eight-week discussion program designed to fo cus attention and provide facts on key foreign policy issues. The ideas and materials were develop ed by the Foreign Policy Associa tion, a nonpartisan, nonprofit or ganization which seeks to stimu late interest and provide information. To make reliable facts readily available for Great Decisions, the Foreign Policy Association has pre pared eight fact sheets. Each fact sheet presents one of the eight key foreign policy issues facing the United States and its citizens in 1958.-They give background infor mation, hard facts, and policy al ternatives. The sheets are set up in a discussion outline. There are no "canned answers." Citizens read the facts, discuss the issues and come to their own individual conclusions. Local residents who do not wish to join a regular discussion group may participate in the program by reading the articles in the Sunday Orgonian and filling out the print ed opinion ballot. Mrs. Dinny Leavers announced that she and her committee have completed all preparations for the table arrangements and decor ations for the forthcoming annual potluck dinner party given each year by the Siskiyou County Farm Bureau, which will be held this year at the Montague auditorium Saturday, March 1.
