Clip it , nd lavt it, or it thowt routoi to be iistd in th vteuation of Klamath Fall in tht event of an atomic attack. There will be two lane, one way traffic on all highways out of town, and retidenft in each of the numbered xonei will use the detignated evacuation routes as they appear on the " map, thus preventing traffic tle.ups and unnecessary casual ties. All routes will be the same the year round with the exception of Zone I, which will go out Lakeshore Drive and Lake of the Woods Road in summer, but in the winter will be directed to Highway 97 North. Zone 2 will evacuate out Highway 97 North, Zone 3 will use Highway 97 South, Zone 4 wilf be directed out Washburn Way to Wordtn, Zone 5 will use Highway 66 and proceed east toward Lake County, and Zone 6 will evacuate to Highway 39 and pro ceed to Merrill. All streets within the xone boundaries will funnel traffic onto major evacuation routes.. Routes, zones and boundaries are marked on 'the map 'and residents of each xone should become familiar with the easiest street access route to the major routes out of town. The boundary, not clearly marked on this map between Zones 2 and 3, has been established on Upham from Idaho to Worden Street, on North Eleventh from Worden to Main, on Main from North Eleventh to the Southern Pacific railroad tracks. Students and personnel at OTI, when in that vicinity, will evacuate down Old Fort Road in two lane, one way traffic to Alameda. Right lane traffic will turn right to Kit Carson Way and. Highway 97 North, with left lane traffic turning left on Alameda to Shasta Way and Highway 66 , east toward Lake County. It is stressed by CD officials that routes must be followed out of town from that particular xone the individual may find himself in at the time an 1 evacuation signal is given. He should not, under any cir cumstances, drive to his home unless his home is along 'the established evacuation route-for the zone he is in. To take care of families separated in this manner there will be ' numerous emergency areas outside the evacuation perimeter -where arrangements will be made to reunite families, Further information concerning action to be taken by in dividuals and families in the event of an emergency will be made available to the public soon.
