Credit Union Chief Named Norman Summers was named chairman of the board of directors of the Weyerhaeuser Klamath Fed eral Credit Union at the annual stockholders meeting held Janu ary 23 at Peace Memorial Church. Present were 281 members of the union and guests. Vice chairman named was Ray mond Jump; secretary, Keefe Walker, and treasurer. Rose Math ers. Plea For Truce Mode By Israeli TULSA, Okla. (fl A plea for continued truce in the Israeli Arab situation was made at a press conference yesterday by Abba Eban, Israeli ambassador to the United States. Eban said the present uneasy truce in Israel is unusual and .hat he can see little hope of a peace settlement. ' "We should at least assure that tensions be kept under control and see they do not erupt into armed conflict," he added. 'Club Members !PJan Changes The newly elected officers and directors of the Kennies Golf and: Country Club met recently at the: clubhouse with President Wes Mc- Xee presiding. Other officers and. directors present were Ralph Hem-1 mesch. vice president: Jim herns Jr., secretary, and Jim Gilfillan and Marvin Nerseth, directors. A new feature of the board this year will be a monthly bulletin, edited by Earl Kent, containing a complete roundup of club activi ties and future events. Club Droiects planned for 1958 include patio furniture for the pool area and more social activity un der the direction of Jim Kerns Jr., and Cecil Drew. For the golfers, fairways and greens are to be improved, pro shoa facilities will be increased and landscaping will be added to the grounds around the pro-shop.
