Len Casanova is still'stressing de
fense to his University of Oregon
Ducks as they prepare for Satur

Casanova pointed out that the
Indians have both a good running
and good passing attack, and
Wednesday's efforts were about
equally divided on , aerial and
ground defense. .
C0RVALL1S. Ore. (UP) The
Oregon State Beavers held a long
aerial defense practice Wednesday
as Coach Tommy Prothro sought
a way to stop the potent passing

fullback Barry Billington today
was confined to the UCLA jMedical
Center suffering from a type of
pneumonia.
Billington suffered a flu attack
last week and doctors discovered
Wednesday that a virus infection

It was a blow to the Bruin lineup
because it means that the first
string fullback definitely will miss
Saturday's homecoming game
with California.
LOS ANGELES (UP) The Uni

Washington on a wet, muddy field
at Seattle Saturday.
