office on October 16. Wary, a
senior at Klamath Union High
School is the daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. C. L. Irving. She has
been in Camp Fire work for 11
years.
All Horizon clubs in the Camp
Fire Council have, representatives
in the cabinet. Newly elected offi
cers will be in charge of the
Southern Oregon Zone Conference
to be held in Klamath Falls next
March. Mary will preside at- the
sessions.
On the agenda for the local
girls in the near future is partici
pation in the Christmas service
program of the Christmas Clear
ing Bureau.
In addition to her work in Camp
Fire which includes work as a
councilor in training at Camp
Ka-est-a, Mary plans to continue
her higher education in prepara
tion for teaching, is interested in
swimming, diving, archery, skiing,
is a member of Job's Daughters,
Future Teachers of America, the
Girls Athletic Association, KUHS,
Script and Microphone Guild, the
Science Club, German Club. She
assists with the annual presen
tation of Pclicana end numerous
other activities.

returned home Monday.

ers in Portland Friday and Satur
day, October 25 and 26. Meetings
will be at the Portland Public
Library and Lincoln High School.

'Pennies Drive'
On Halloween night, October 31,
the Junior Westminster Fellowship
of Peace Memorial Presbyterian
Church will collect pennies for the
United Nations International Chil
dren's Emergency Fund instead of
the usual "Trick or Treat."
This fund is used for medicine,
food and clothing for needy chil

eling student doll, a state wide pro
gram carried on by all Rebekah
