Librarian Donna Hubbard gave a report on "A Lantern in Her Hand" by Bess Streeter Aldrich. Bethel 6 will hold a rummage sale Friday and Saturday, Novem ber 1 and 2, at the Masonic Tem ple. Betty is a graduate of Merrill High School. The prospective bridegroom is a graduate of hforth Bend High School, and is now a second year student at OTI. No wedding date has been set. f. ... Photo by Otto Ellis Sojourners Fall Tea And Fashion Parade Approximately 100 Sojourners and guests attended the 1957 Fall Tea and Style Show held in the Pine Grove Room of the Willard Hotel Saturday September 28, at 1 p.m. The decorations, artistically done by Mis. William Adams, were in the fall theme. Mrs. C. E. Student Wives At OTI Meet The OTt Student Wives first meeting of the school year was Wednesday night, October 2, in Ihe "Y" Building on the OTI Campus. Approximately 40 mem bers were present. The meeting was called to order by the president. Lorry Zimmer man. Each officer introduced her self and told her duties and the members introduced themselves and told their husband's course of study. The advisers. Virginia Kompston. Mrs. Carl Stolpe and Mrs. J. A. Crabtree were intro duced and welcomed. After the business. Bill DePew of "Flowers by Bill and Rita showed the members how to make lovely fall arrangements out of cattails, wheat, leaves and other items that could be picked up by the road or in the field. Everyone enjoyed his talk and demonstra tion. After DePew's demonstration, refreshments were served to mem bers during a get-acquainted hour. The next meeting will be Octo ber 16 at the "Y". All members and prospective members are invited. Alward, general chairman of the event was assisted by Mrs. Jay Kroksh, Mrs. William Malley, Mrs. William Minner and Mrs. E. 0. Jackson, president of the club. The afternoon opened with card play from 1 until 2:30 p.m. High scores at each table were awarded the gaily wrapped packase which served as a table decoration. The style show was at 2:30, Mrs. Leonard Surles was commen tator. Fashions from the Bon Ba zaar were shown and modeled by Mrs. Ted McDaniels, huzie Moss, Mrs. Robert Wright, Mrs. Lee Holliday, Mrs. Walter Richartz, Mrs. Ralph Hemmesch and Mrs. Robert Cheyne. The costumes were varied, attractive and along sim ple lines. As a finale, Mrs. C. E. Alward modeled a gown worn in 1'jlO: Mrs. Jay Kroksh one worn in 1027; Mrs. William Adams, 1930; and Mrs. Sam Moss. 1940. Mrs. William Minner presided at the beautifully appointed tea lable assisted by Mrs. Thell Rea, Mrs. Charles Dakin, Mrs. James Thornton and Mrs. E. O. Jackson, Mrs". Thornton and Airs.
