versity of California plans to In
stall a seismograph station in the
vicinity of the proposed Oroville
Dam, the Department of Water
Resources said today. . .
Department officials and their
consulting seismologist. Dr. Perry
Byerly ot the university, have in
spected the dam site.
Theodore Neuman, engineer in
charge of the Feather River Proj
ect, said the earthquake recording
equipment would provide valuable
data on earth movements near
the dam both prior to and follow
ing construction. Such data will be
necessary in design of the struc
ture, the largest concrete dam in
the world.

was expected to be valuable to the
university in recording the pass
age of earthquake waves through

Tells Pastor

Sunday in observance of Reforma
tion Sunday. The service is being
sponsored by the - Klamath Coun
cil of Churches and the Oregon
Council. The Peace Memorial Choir
will sing. This is the second an
nual observance of the church date.
The congregation of Klamath
Lutheran Church will also partici
pate in the service.
Until this year the major proj
ect of the Klamath Council of
Churches has been with the mi
grant population each fall. This
year activities of the council are
being expanded and the public is
invited to take part In Wis tutor-

a Protestant Church tradition.

models today sought a total of
$427.50 in damages on charges
they were fired from hostess jobs
at the American Bankers Assn.
