The dis tricts included New Pine Creek, Eastside, Warner Valley, Lake view and Valley Falls. Also re ceiving recognition were 32 lead ers, assistant leaders and junior leaders. The 35 clubbers who received first year pins were Karin An derson, Ray Cloud, Richard. Cloud, Pat Cory, Charlene Darst, Nancy Galloway, Sheril Getty, Marilyn Greenhaw, Dave Griffin, John Griffin, Sidney Harlan, Georgetta Julier, Mavis Kliewer, Susie Klip- pel, JoAnn Leahy, Sheryl Leeh mann, Doug Maxwell, Marcia Met zen, Bryan Newcombe. The other presentations included fifth year pins to James Cogburn, Joanna Cosgrove, Bridie Guincy, i-yiargarot O'Connor and Margaret fthadlcr; sixth year certificates to Gloria Ayoutt, Mary Gail Bar row. Jean Kaley and Mary - Jean O Connor: a ninth year cer tificate to Shirley Scoville and a 10th year award to Jean Vinyard. Junior leaders receiving recog nition were Eora Weekly. Bridie Guincy and Mary Murphy, first year pins: Jean Kaley. Margaret Schadler and Margaret Andrews, second year certificates: and Shir ley Scoville, third year pin. Five assistant leaders were .giv en first year pins. Viola Thayer, Holland Hopkins, Mary Mary Mill sap. Mrs. Mary Howard, and Mrs. Muriel Peat. Mrs. Helen Lin cecum earned a second year cer tificate and Mrs. Amelia Gawron ski. a third year pin. The Lakeview Rotary Club awards went to Mary Gail Bar row for senior clothing: Mary Lee Scoville. junior homemaking: Mary Lee Scoville. junior canning: Cheryl Petty, junior cooking: Shir ley Scoville, cooking sweepstakes; Karl Petty, forestry: Shirley Sco ville, ceramics; and Mary Lee Scoville, junior vegetable garden. The leaders awards were as fol lows: Shirley Scoville, Mrs. Ruth Remsen, Mrs. Florence Hopkins, Mrs. Maxine Hotchkiss, Bill Lane and Rudolph K. Robles, first year pins; Raymond Cook, Mrs. Lillian O Callaghan, Mrs. June Paxton, Mrs. Eunice Cogburn, Mrs. Pau line O'Malley and Mrs. Lilly No ble, second year certificates; Mrs, Cora Cook, third year pin; John Richardson, fourth year certifi cate; Mrs. May Holloway, fifth year pin; Mrs. Margaret Kaley and Mrs. Myrna Barrow, eighth year certificates; and Mrs. Mil dred Scoville, ninth year pin. The Foley award in these dis tricts went to Mary Jean O Con nor for the best cooking record book. Cash awards given by the Lake County Leaders' Association went to Audrey Millsap, first; Nina Evans, third, for secretary record books; Mary Jean O'Connor, first, and Sidney Harlan, third, for cooking record books: health rec ord book awards, to Sandra Peat, nrst, ana t Danny Leahy, second; forestry, first, Karl Petty; garden, first, Mary Lee Scoville: miscel laneous, Shirley Scoville, first, ceramics. The Sprecklcs canning contest award was won by Shirley Sco ville, and the A. D. Woods honey contest placings were Cheryl Pet ty, first; Marilyn Cook, second and Mary Lee Scoville, third. Each year the Lake County T.B, and Health Association recognizes a boy and girl in health clubs who has shown the most improvement in health for the year through his or her own efforts. Mrs. Vesta Bean, president of the association. presented the awards to Jimmy cogburn and Marilyn Cook. The evening started with a Dot- luck dinner followed by the meet ing, which was conducted by Mrs. Kaley, president of the leaders as sociation. E. It. Jackman of the OSC extension service, spoke on Achievement - For What Richard Proebstel, manager, First national Bank, Lakeview, present ed the achievement pins: Mr. Jackman, the leader pins: Lee Hansen, club agent, the miscel laneous awards; and the Rev.
