" BORN IN ILLINOIS Barnstable, who has been a resi dent of Klamath Falls since 1921,1 Was born September 29. 1892 in Edwardsville, Illinois. When he was five years old the family moved to Evanston, Illinois, where Barnstable's father was a divinity student. The elder Barnstable was fi nally ordained as a minister of the Methodist Church and accented a call to Blackfoot, Idaho. "The main street of ,Blackfoot in those days, Barnstable said, "would have made a perfect set for a wild and wooly western movie. Blanketed Indians stood in front of the saloons and stores. I probably wouldn't change it much." Barney was married while in Barnstable. Salinas. California. Mrs. Barnstable is supervisor of 'cafeterias for the city schools. W. Aider Street. The executive committee of the foundation recently announced the appointment of Grant Cosgrove as their first full-time executive di rector. Halph C. Scott, who re tired as part-time director, has left on an extended tour of the United States and Mexico. Cosgrove came here from Ore gon Technical Institute In Klamath Falls, where he was public rela tions director, and formerly was field secretary for the United States Chamber of Commerce in western Washington and Oregon, Miss Barbara Howard, formerly of Klamath Falls, is secretary for the organization. Chairman of the foundation, which is made up of the 10 inde pendent accredited colleges in the state of Oregon, is Charles Arm- ! strong, president of Pacific Uni-1 versity.
