OREGON PAGE THREE XT V: M-ikOV 7 rrv. - Mount Shasta Rotary Club Tells Grant Requirements MOUNT SHASTA The Rotarv Club has set up the following re quirements for their scholarship grant to be given annually to a graduating senior, announcement of recipient to be made at grad uating exercises. 1. Scholarship. A graduating sen ior must make application to the state college or university of his choice and present notice of his acceptance by May 15. 2. Citizenship. (UP)-An Air Force helicopter crew "chased buzzards" with no results Wednes day in a macabre search for the body of a San Francisco girl who leaped to her death from a small plane Monday. A ground search over the brushy slopes of Mt. Tamalpais was also fruitless. ...... , The victim, pretty Flora Liza belh Anderson, 22, plunged 2500 feet' to her death from a light plane rented by Stanley Gordon, 28, of Belvedere. with three letters of recommen dation, will be required. 3. Activities. Present a list of extra curricular activities during high school attendance and other important community activities. 4. Need. A letter of explanation why financial assistance is need ed. All requirements must be pre sented at the same time to a mem' ber of the high school faculty who is on the committee at the time, and a committee of three, com posed of one. member of the high school faculty and two members of the Rotary Club elected by the club members, will review appli cations and make the scholarship award. . " An alternate will be named in event the scholarship recipient fails to enroll in college. Amount of the scholarship will vary according to funds available, but will be approximately $200 to $300, one-half to be awarded upon proof of enrollment for the first semester and the other half at either the second or third semes ters.
