In a thumbnail report on the USBR To Sell Surplus Autos The V.S: Bureau of Reclamation has announced it is offering for sale to the highest bidders, 63 sur plus passenger cars, pickup trucks and jeeps. These motor cars are located at the regional headquar ters in Sacramento and at several of the reclamation field offices lo cated throughout the state. Fifteen cars are in storage at the Sacra mento office; twenty at Friant, about 20 miles northeast of Fres no; sixteen at Tracy Pumping plant, about ten miles west of Tra cy; five at Toyon, about ten miles north of Redding; three at Klamath Airport, Klamath Falls, Oregon; and four at Santa Bar bara Airport, Goleta. The cars may be inspected and complete bid information obtained by getting in touch with the of fices listed, or by contacting the Regional Procurement Officer, U.S. Bureau of Reclamation, Ful ton and Marconi Avenues, P.O. Box 2511, Sacramento. Vehicles may be inspected be tween the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Mondays through Fridays un til 4 p.m. April 4. Bids will be opened and awards made at 2 p.m. April 5, at the regional office at Sacramento. A bid deposit of twenty-five per cent of the total amount bid, in the form of money order or cash ier's or certified check, made pay able to the Bureau of Reclamation, , must accompany each bid.
