Klamath families taking spring vacation trips included Mr. and Mrs. James Van Wormer and son who visited her sister and family in Corval lis; Mr. and Mrs. Warren Wilder oud sons visited relatives at Or leans, California, on the Klamath River; Mr. and Mrs. Walter Bax ter took a fishing trip at the Ore gon coast, and Mr. and Mrs. Ray mond Van Wormer and sons were tuests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Orville Caster in Medford. Visit Son Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Haley of Bonanza are spending several days In San Francisco with their son. Vernon, who is stationed nearby taking guided missile training. The Guild of St. Barnabas Church will meet March 22 at the home of Mis. Luther Noble in Up per Langell Valley. Friends and members Invited. John Brown of Bonanza Variety Store was called to Portland March 16 after his mother, Mrs. Lula Brown, was hit by a car. receiving a broken shoulder and broken nose. Brown accompanied Jim Wakefield who was spending the weekend at Portland with his wife and two children. Vacation Mr. and Mrs. Lester Jones of Bonanza left March 17 for a week's vacation. He will at tend meetings in Corvallis and she will visit their children, the Ray Marchant and the Ray Jones fam ilies at Grants Pass. Gary Randall 11-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Randall of Langell Valley is on crutches for a month followlne a broken foot received when his horse fell with I him last Friday. Home Mrs. Ruby Brown has re turned to her home in Bonanza af ter several days with her daugh ter, Mrs. Wes Dearborn in Lan gell Valley. New Pine Creek Mr. and Mrs. Walter King returned on March 14 from Duarte, California, where they had been visiting for three weeks. They attended funeral serv ices there for Mrs. King's mother, Mrs. Emma Durham, who had been living with them prior to her death. Mrs. Clara Cloud returned to New Pine Creek- last week from Eugene with her daughter, Mrs. Maury Morion and husband where she had spent most of the winter. The Mortons will visit a while be fore returning to Eugene. Gua Dorlng oldtime - baker in New Pine Creek during the min ing boom days, celebrated his 86th birthday anniversary on March 16 with a new haircut and his two-inch-long beard shaved off. Home Ec Club of New Pine Creek met Thursday in the grange hall with 11 memhers, two guests and five children present. Guests were Mrs. Nancy Robinson and Mis. Allie Hammersley. Mrs. Nera Mulkey was hostess. Women mem bers are reminded to bring two of three things, sandwiches, salads and cakes, for the grange benefit dance on March 31 to raise money for the grange improvement fund.
