Origfby and a 196) graduate of Klamath Union Well School, now attending pacific Uni versity, will receive the Fremont Junior High School Parent-Teacher Association scholarship for a sec ond year, It was announced by the executive board ol the PTA. Tom was an outstanding music student at KUHS and entered the Forest Grove university last fall as recipient of the Fremont PTA scholarship, the first given by the organisation. Miss Cory worked fust in Belem in northeru Brazil, then in an oiphanage for Brazilian children in the slate of Sao Paulo and more recently it wrs- :a- I FRANCES CORY , twice daily with some meat, vege tables and fruit. "There are ready-made clothes in the larger stores in Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, but none in the rural communities. Nearly all of the women sew and are expert at copying designs pictured in mail order catalogues," she added. Brazilians are a mixture of many races and their skins vary from dark to light. She admitted she I was never mistaken for a Brazil ian and that women do not travel I alone In Brazil. It is acceptable. ' however, for two women to travel together so the missionaries did not work alone. During her stay at the small vil lage of Vianopolls, ahe took care of children of American and Cana dian missionaries while their par ents did advance study In the Por tuguese language.
