KLAMATH FALLS, OREGON PAGE THREE 4-H NEWS SEVEN CLEVER COOKERS OF MALIN Our regular meeting, which tell en February 20, was postponed un til March 8, when we combined the two projects. We had planned to meet it the home of our assistant leader, Mrs. Gerald Quinn to bake our sponge cake, but she had been called to her mother's bedside, so we met at our leader's home. Before we had our business meeting, we were each assigned a part of the mix ing of the sponge cake, and as soon as it was in the oven, we cut up the fruit each one had brought, mixed it together and put It in the refrigerator to chill. We talked about other ways to prepare and serve fruit. Then, while we waited for the cake to bake, our president, Martha Cantrall, called the meeting to order. We answered roll call with the name of a fruit. All were present except Judy Baumgart, Mrs. Oray showed us how we will be dressed when we have our Sun day buffet supper, and we talked about a menu, also about other details of this exciting event. We are going to work on demonstra tions next Monday for one hour, at our leaders home, March 12 from 1 to 2 p.m. We will not make this a business meeting. Everyone promised to get their work caught up during the spring vacation.. Only a few are behind. Our next business meeting will be at the Park Hall Sunday, April 8. where we will rehearse our spe cial supper event. We thank Dor othy Baumgart for the fancy candy she made for us.
