Home Extension MALIN BOME EXTENSION UNIT By Virginia Blohm The Malin Home Extension Unit met at the home of Mrs. Wil liam Rajnus for an all-day meet ing Tuesday. February 7, with 25 members and guests present. The project. "Rolls and Breads from Sweet Dough." was demon strated by the leaders, Mrs. Wil liam Rajnus and Mrs. Charles Dobry. They showed how to make all kinds of fancy rolls from the setting of the dough to the fin ished product. The demonstration was particularly Interesting be cause they demonstrated both the American and Bohemian methods. Lunch, which was served by the leaders and Mrs. Cecil Jackson, consisted of the rolls, fruit salad and coffee. At the business meeting,- follow ing lunch, Mrs. Ernest Gray, vice chairman, presided. There was a report by Ann Lahoda on ACWW seals. A letter was read from the Azalea Home Committee, request ing the units to send in more Betty Crocker coupons for the sil ver tea service for Azalea House. The special prize donated by Mrs. Bonnie Stephens was won by Mrs. Howard Henderson. KENO HOME EXTENSION UNIT By Lou Smith "Care of the Hair" was the pro ject at the regular meeting of the Keno Home Extension meeting Wednesday. February 15, at 10:30 a.m. Project leaders, Mrs. Elmer Erlel and Mrs. Veryl Young, dem onstrated the setting of pin curls on models, Mrs. Marion Padgett and Mrs. Larry Owen. Shampoo ing, brushing and the construction of the hair were discussed during the demonstration. A potluck luncheon preceded the afternoon session, which was called to order by Mrs. Marion Padgett, chairman. Mrs. Newton Negley ready the "thought for the day"; and the group voted to donate five dollars to the Heart Fund for its charity contribution. It was an nounced that Mrs. Floyd Stone will start a "traveling basket" to raise funds for the unit treasury, special prize of the day was won by Mrs. Veryl Young. The remainder of the meeting was turned back to the project leaders who illustrated, with sug gestions offered by the group, ap propriate and becoming hairdos for various face-shapes. There were 22 members present and four guests, Mrs. H. D. Clark. Mrs. Richard Jameson. Mrs. Rob ert Lynn and Betty Hawthrone. Three new members of the unit are Mrs. Don Johnston, Mrs. Rob ert Lynn and Mrs. -S t a n 1 e y Svoboda. The March meeting will be at the home of Mrs. Veryl Young the topic, "Braided Rugs." Revlon Announces $250,000 TV Show NEW YORK, ifi The sponsor of "The SM.000 Question" plans a new television show with a grand prize of a quarter of a million dollars. A spokesman for the sponsor. Revlon Cosmetics, said the show will be called "the Most Beautiful Girl In the World." He said three pretty giris wiii compete each week with a final winner picked once a year.
