' Home Extension MACDOEL The home extension group held Its regular meeting January 25, at the home of Mrs. Ted Johnson with Mrs. Clarence Cross as co-hostess. The project was rug making. Mrs. Johnson won the special prize. A card of thanks was read from the Holden family and a farewell letter was read from Mrs. Doug las Clement. :.. Mrs. Floyd Murray w"as -elected secretary to succeed Mrs. Clement who has moved to Klamath Falls. Those attending were Mrs. Mor ris Gilmer, Mrs. Jess Deiter, Mrs. Albert Burry, Mrs. Betty Jacobson, Mrs. Griff Hawkins, Mrs.. Don Jenott, Mrs. Ted Schlapfer, Mrs. Floyd Murray, Mrs. Wood and Mrs. Bill Clement. . ' Refreshments were served. ' The next meeting will be reb ruarv 29 at the home of Mrs; Don Jenott at Mt. Hebron. . OVER THE GARDEN GATE MERRILL By Virginia Lee Perry The Lost River.Garden Club held a potluck luncheon meeting at the home of Mrs. June Orem at "12 noon, January 26. The co-hostess was Mrs. Randall Pope. Mrs. Lu cille WagEoner, Anna Johnson, Pat Coulson. Dorothy Holmquist, Mrs. Ben Johnson, Mrs. Marie Orem and Lois Jacobs were guests. "Don't be a litterbug'' stickers are now available and members may purchase them for 15 cents each from the club. Lois McKen- dree, a member of the Klamath Falls garden club, has announced that the cook book the Kiamain district clubs compiled is for sale at $1.00 per copy. Mrs. Will Wood will be the Judge for horticulture papers from gar den club members In the district. Anyone wishing their paper to be Judged please send it to her in Klamath Falls. Lucille West nas written on daffodills for the Mer rill club. A dollar each will be given by the club to the winner of the poster and essay contests on conservation u they are from Merrill. Also no- Ijocs will be given to those who place either second or third from Merrill. . The next meeting will be held Tuesday, February 28 at the home of Mrs. Joe Micka in Malin at 2 p.m. The co-hostess will be Mrs George Chin. 4-H NEWS CHAT AND NIBBLE COOKS The Chat and Nibble Cooks of Keno had their regular meeting January 16, at the home of Mrs. Larry Owen. Those present were Marjorle James, Bonnie Pierce. Marguerite Shellhorn and Loretta Sanders. After the meeting we prepared and served Fruit Crisp. Mrs. Shell horn, Mrs. Sorakoff and daughter Sandra, visited us. Leetta San ders won the doorprize.
