Secretary Mrs. Louis Natale read a letter from Virginia Dixon thank- Ing Mrs. Roy Fenning and Mrs. Joe Ivle for their blood donations. Several announcements were made by Charles McClln. A sports night is to be held January 27, with basketball, volleyball and tum bling planned for entertainment. A charge will be made for admit tance. Refreshments will be served in the- new cafeteria following the games. Judy Parker read the minutes and called the roll. Loretta Banders won the special prize. Mrs. De Orande demonstrated the art of gilt wrapping. For the meeting, Mis. Walker showed the girls how to do the blanket stitch for their needle hold ers. Afterwards the girls sang songs until treats were served. Enrollment cards were filled out by members who did not attend the Inst meeting. We were given our last year's rerord books and also received new books for this year. The record books were explained to the new members. We decided to appoint two mem bers to call the club members sev eral days before Ihe meeting, so as to remind them. Carol Reiling will call members living In Foe Val ley and Alvln Born will call those living in the Henley community. Alvln Born gave a report on the disease, ring-worm In CBttle. After the meeting. Mrs. West served hot chocolate, cupcakes, and cookies which wero enjoyed very much by ine club. After refreshments. Mr. West showed us his beef barn, some of his calves, and the mixture of food that he feeds them. Our next meeting will be held February 8, at Marlce and Ann Brclthaupt's home. Lalla Wakkurl, News Reporter MERRILL SHEEP CLUB The second meeting of the Mer rill Sheep Club was called to order by the president, Margaret Quails on January 2. The minutes were read and approved. Two bills were presented. One was for $2.61 and one was for $165. A motion was made and seconded that we pay them. We have four new members. They are Ray Rankin, Mary and Sandy Johnson, and Jim Reed. A motion was made and second ed that we pay $1 dues for this year. We also appointed a refresh ment committee for all year. They are Beverly Moore and Mary Ann Johnson.
